Günümüzün en büyük müzik dinleme platformu Spotify, yaptığı açıklamayla streaming çağı olarak adlandıkları dönemin en iyi rap şarkılarını seçti. 2015-2024 yıllarını kapsayan bu dönemi tarayan Spotify editörleri, platformdan gelen açıklamaya göre; kalite, etki, sürekli dinlenilebilirlik ve kültürel değer gibi özellikler aradı.
Spotify Amerika Hip-Hop ekibini, başta Carl Chery olmak üzere, son 10 yılda çıkan şarkıları taradı ve 100 şarkılık bir liste oluşturdu. Listenin ilk 10 sırasına baktığımız zaman, hiçbir sanatçının 2 şarkıyla yer almaması dikkat çekiyor. Bu konuda bir denge gözetilmiş olabilir.
